Ag cur fréamhracha - Samhain Ceremonial Sauna evening (concession price)

€40.00

An cuireadh/The Invitation

As the wheel turns toward the dark half of the year, join us to prepare for the descent into winter dreaming. This ceremonial gathering is a dedicated space to reconnect with ourselves, the land, our personal and collective prayers. The invitation is do chuid fréamhracha a chur síos. To put your roots down. Down into the land, and to come down into your body.

Together, we will gather to sing, heal, pray, and listen. Invoking the ancient ancestors—na Fianna and na Tuatha Dé Danann—and guided by the wisdom-keepers of old, we Sweat and we Remember.

This ceremonial gathering offers a sacred space to reconnect with the self, the land, and our ancestral lineage while dropping down and in, at Samhain.

Through singing, prayer, and deep listening, we will honor our ancient Irish heritage. We will open our hearts with Huath(Hawthorn), and sing the ancestors within us home again. We gather to Remember the Ways of Éiriú. If you hear her calling, this prayer may resonate with you.

The journey combines sunset intention ritual at the Ballyedmonduff Wedge Tomb (Tuama Dingeach Bhaile Éamainn Duibh) with a powerful communal sweat session.

Facilitators:

Aoife Ní Lodainn: Set against the landscape of the Dublin Mountains, Aoife Ní Lodainn brings this sacred offering back to her home soil of Baile Átha Cliath. Aoife has walked the path of the sweat for over eight years, a journey sparked by a vision to pour the sweat at Uisneach in 2018. Her path includes a three-year ceremonial mentorship; alongside her continuous dedication to re-dreaming Ireland’s ancient Sweat House practices & cultural revival.

Bridging the old ways with the new, Aoife lives in embodied connection with na Sinsear (the ancestors) of both lineage and land. Her work is woven in co-creation with the Tuatha Dé Danann, na Fianna, and the wise ones of ancient Ireland. For this gathering, she will be supported by Pete Priestley, a committed practitioner of sauna cultural revival and the founder of Tigh N’Alluis.

Peter Priestely: Pete is a sauna practitioner, mens work & ceremonial facilitator dedicated to reviving the ancient lineage of the Irish sweat house.

Pete’s work is anchored in both local & global lineages, and continuous apprenticeship. He trained in traditional sauna rituals in Finland and Lithuania, is currently studying Celtic Shamanism under Cait Brannigan, and has expanded his ceremonial path through Lakota and Diné (Navajo) traditions.

Deeply committed to communal healing, Pete also leads dedicated men’s work gatherings centered on emotional honesty and personal development. Guided by lifelong mentorship, his mission remains constant: creating safe, potent, and meaningful spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, each other, and the earth.
